Welcome to Jungle Gems.
Working with resin is something that I kind of started on a whim. I never thought that I would enjoy it as much as I do. Learning the ropes of this process has been very frustrating but equally rewarding and there is still a lot for me to learn. I think it will end up being one of those things that your never know everything about. There is always going to be a new twist or design waiting in the wings. Right now I am just enjoying the journey. I hope you enjoy the jewelry as much as I enjoy making it.

We have been asked about the quality of our metals. So far we haven't used precious metals but...maybe someday. Here is what I know about the metals we use.
Lead:
Lead is a toxic substance when ingested therefore none of our jewelry is not intended for use by children. Even though the chains, components and charms that we order are marked “lead free” there could still be a small amount of Lead in the metals. The term “lead free” means that the amount of lead in a piece is low enough to be considered safe by the strictest standard. All of our components meet the California's “Lead Containing Jewelry Law”.
Hypoallergenic:
Since there isn't a legal definition for Hypoallergenic, it can mean a variety of things or it can mean nothing at all.
Metal Allergies:
Many people who have metal allergies are sensitive to Nickle. Nickle is a common metal that is widely used because of it low cost and silver color. At this time we don't offer an alternative to Nickle containing jewelry but we will in the near future.
Copper:
Yes it is beautiful. But because of copper's tendency to tarnish, it should not be used in things that have snug and direct contact with the skin like piercings and rings.
